Hot Pants Show Poster
This project was a redesign of an old show poster that promoted a James Brown concert at Cincinnati Gardens. After finishing the visual style guide for King Record's brand, I applied the chosen color palette, and incorporated the same typeface selected for the brand. I kept my palette limited to 3 colors so that the design could be easily screen printed and distributed. The poster itself plays on the idea of the "Hot Pants Contest", and I used imagery pulled from a Hot Pants Contest in Cleveland, OH; and the photo used on James Brown's "Hot Pants" record cover.
